Never Give Up
"Most of the important things in the world have been accomplished by people who have kept on trying when there seemed to be no hope at all." ~D.Carnegie
Yesterday was a really bad day emotionally...think it hit me how this pregnancy is over. My emotions where all over the place, could also be my hormone's as I had to stop the estrogen and progesterone supplements now. I was only 3 weeks along but still long enough to have your hopes up, now they are dashed. Felling a little better today, think maybe I just needed to grieve, it may have only been a few weeks but to me it was still a life, our baby, the hopes we had for it where very real.
Talked to the Dr. today. I start on Birth Control pills again today as we think I got AF (Aunt Flo) that started Sun. night. Then come back in a week for another hcg test to make sure my levels are going down. If they are not going down very fast then we can talk about doing a shot of medication that will help things along. Needs to be at 0 before I can start in on shots again. So the sooner that can happen the better.
He thinks what happened is the embryo implanted but one of two things went wrong; it could of implanted in the wrong place (which would be ectopic) or the embryo had something wrong with it (genetics?) and didn't grow, "fizzled out" in his words (which is a chemical pregnancy). Then the placenta keeps putting out hcg even though the baby died.
He doesn't have any real answers to why it happened we just don't know what caused it. All I can do is pray for better results the second time. Several people have told me their first pregnancy ended in a miscarry and the second went well so that gives me hope. At least we know my body can get pregnant, Dr. was concerned about that. So that is a positive.
Prayer requests this week... is that my hcg levels go down quickly to 0 so we can try again in the next week or two. If I can start shots by begining of November we can get in another full cycle before end of the year. Also start praying for our next IVF cycle that things will go just as well, I don't get sick on bc, and that the embryo will grow this time and be healthy. I'm also coming down with a cold again pray for health and healing of my body.
Believing God still has a plan for good for us. That he is faithful and will bless us with a child in his timing. It may look stormy now but sunshine is right around the corner.
When life kicks you down, get back up. When it kicks you down again, just get back up again and kick it back! Never give in and Never Ever Give Up!

THE SCHOOL OF PAIN
by J. R. Miller
Everyone has sorrow. Being a Christian does not exempt anyone from grief. But faith in Christ brings a transformation of sorrow. Not only are we taught to endure the sorrows that come to us patiently and submissively—but we are assured that there is a blessing in them for us, if we accept them with love and trust.
One of the deepest truths taught in the Bible—is that earthly sorrow has a mission in the sanctifying of life. "No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it. God disciplines us for our good—that we may share in His holiness." (Hebrews 12:10-11)
We dread pain! And yet the person who has not experienced pain—has not yet touched the deepest and most precious meanings of life. There are things we never can learn—except in the school of pain! There are heights of life we never can attain—except in the bitterness of sorrow. There are joys we never can have—until we have walked in the dark ways of sorrow.
Not to have sorrow, in some form, is to miss one of life's holiest opportunities. We get our best things—out of affliction! "I have refined you in the furnace of suffering!" Isaiah 48:10
