IVF Cycle Three - Egg Retrivial Day

ER was today. Was glad for being end of December the weather here is nice, roads all clear for the drive to the clinic. Had a restless night before ER was hard to sleep, spent most of the time in prayer, lots of thinking. Husband worked all night so he didn't get much sleep either. Got to the clinic around 8:45am, procedure was around 10pm by the time they got me all prepped. Left clinic around noon to travel home. Had a brief lunch at Burger King as it seems to be our tradition to get a whopper on the way home after ER. lol 

Was so super groggy, I could barely leave this afternoon from the clinic felt all doped up from the surgery meds, long drive home and the pain hit me trying to get out of the car, took a long afternoon nap, taking tylenol and getting some fluids down me. Stomach is pretty sore this time. I start in on antibodies doxyclycline for 5 days, estrodial 3xday and crinone progesterone 2xday, baby asprin and predisone 20mg start tomorrow.

Guess it pays to be persistent and on top of your IVF treatment, cause doing 2 extra days of stimming and 2 Ovidrel shots sure helped. Both things I had asked about doing. They got 28 eggs. Still nervous about tomorrows call as that will tell us how many out of the 28 where mature and we are using ICSI again so hopefully get a good fertilization rate. My prayer this time is we get full or expanded blastocysts to transfer - will be doing 3-4 this time around. I did all I could this time now it's in God's hands.

Transfer if all is well is still to be determined but Dr. was thinking Christmas day morning or day after.

IVF Cycle Comparisons:

#1 Cycle: 32 eggs - 20 fertilized and were mature - Day 5 Transfer of 1 full blastocyst and 1 almost. 2 blastocysts on day 6 frozen - Results: Chemical pregnancy/miscarriage

#2 Cycle: 18 eggs - 4 where mature and I think it was like 10-12 that fertilized - Day 5 transfer 3 almost blastocysts transferred on day 5 - none made it to day 6 to freeze - Results:BFN

#3 Cycle: 28 eggs - to be determined yet
